    What You Will Learn

Although this course teaches the vocabulary and terminology of Medical English, in our multi-cultural world, this is, of course, not enough. A key aspect of this course is knowing how to use this new vocabulary as part of your overall English skills in various environments. Medical professionals find themselves in a wide range of situations across cultures, each of which present themselves with important linguistic and stylistic differences.

It is important that you are able to present yourself and be understood in a wide variety of settings from helping patients to attending lectures and conferences - and their associated social events. It is equally important to know how to use Medical English and how to use your general English so that you present not only as competent in your specialized field, but also sensitive to the particular professional environment that you find yourself in.

    Topics Covered

This course has two sections. It does not matter which section you take first. Topics covered include:

    • Various Healthcare Systems around the World
